This Russian has dared the richest of the world to be amongst them. Roman Abramovich, is the well known owner of Chelsea Football Club. Despite being known all over the world he has maintained a low profile. Roman Abramovich was born in Siberia to impoverished parents. He lost both his parents at a young age. He moved to Moscow with his sister where he did his basic education. There after he was drafted for military service. After military service he earned a degree from Moscow State Law Academy.He started his commercial activities in 1980. He owned and operated small co-operative initially. Thereafter he specialized in trading of oil and oil products. Roman diversified his business and established a company known as Millhouse Capital. Gradually his company acquired significant stakes in Aeroflot and several Aluminum Companies. They also invested in several smaller companies in the automobile industry, pharmaceuticals, food processing, real estate and other sectors.
With his huge wealth, Roman is known to have controlled the world of football. He took over Chelsea and infused huge funds into it. The club has been notorious in buying football players for huge sums. Shevchenko joined Chelsea in 2006 for a record transfer fee of around £30m. Roman is also well known for charity.

Liliane Bettencourt was born on 21st October 1922. She was the only child of Mr. Eugène Schueller, who was the founder of L’Oréal. Liliane Bettenourt lost her mother when she was five years old. In 1950 she married French politician André Bettencourt. The have lived together after that till the death of André Bettencourt in 2007.
Bettencourt inherited the L’Oréal fortune from her father in 1957,. L’Oréal had become a huge financial giant till then. She is the principal shareholder of L’Oréal with 27.5 percent shares. Almost 26.5 percent are owned by Nestle and the public owns the balance. Liliane Bettencourt is rated to be the wealthiest woman in France. Her assets are estimated at $ 26 billion.
Liliane Bettencourt has been a source of inspiration for technology. She has created the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation. This foundation awards the “Liliane Bettencourt Prize for Life Sciences” to a European researcher under the age of forty-five.
Liliane has one daughter named Françoise Bettencourt Meyers. She is a member of L’Oréal’s board of directors.
